Every Step of the Way

Well, this post is going to be all over the place...
Does anyone else enjoy jazz artist David Benoit? I thought I would share one of my favorites by him called Every Step of the Way it's a beautiful song and great for having drinks on your back patio or just relaxing and reading. Here is a video from YouTube playing his song live (I also recommend you get "The Best of David Benoit" and "Here's To You Charlie Brown"):

On the topic of music, has anyone seen the Bacardi Mojito commercial? I love the song, it's catchy, and very different than anything I've heard in quite a while, it even gets me going when working out! The song is called Daylight by Matt and Kim. Check it out and tell me what you think!

Check out The Weather Channel for a Blackberry giveaway! They are giving away 30 phones this month. How neat would it be to win a free phone!

I have a question for all you bloggers out there. It could be controversial considering it has something to do with politics but what do you think of Michelle Obama's wardrobe? The media is comparing her to style icons such as Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn. Check out this article from Vivre Magazine Online. It's not that I don't think that she is dressed very well, and I admire many of her frocks and other outfits, I just do not think she should be compared to Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn so soon. Audrey and Jackie are trule style icons, however, this woman has been in the whitehouse for 6 months and already they are ready to promote her to a legendary style icon. Also, If Gap was around in Audrey's era or Jackie's era they would not be dressing in $40 Gap blouses and chinos or a $150 White House Black Market dress. It's not that I think that you need to spend a lot of money on your clothing to be a style icon or even a well dressed person, I just think it's more appropriate for the First Lady, the woman that is representing our country to be dressed in things made for her or things at least a little more high end than Gap! I can see where people are coming from when they say that she represents that average American woman who wears Gap on a daily basis, (heck I think I dress as well as her, and give me her budget, and I'm sure I could do better and I haven't even graduated college yet!) but she is not the average American woman! Not to be a total drag about Michelle Obama, so here are some very lovely pictures of her in First Lady-worthy clothing:I hope you all have a marvelous Monday night!

Yours,
sCe
