Hi everyone!
I have another review for you all today and I will be reviewing the Makeup Revolution Chocolate Bar Palette Collection!
------------------------
So I have the full collection and there are 5 in the set! There is the I Heart Chocolate (milk chocolate), Death By Chocolate (dark chocolate), Naked Chocolate (white chocolate), Salted Caramel (light and dark chocolate) and Pink Fizz (pink chocolate).
I'll start with the packaging. They are all a nice, sturdy plastic and they each have the same dripping, melted chocolate design on the front which I love. I feel that they are quite thick but they are worth it in my eyes. Each of the palettes also have a nice, big mirror which is the size of the lid which is very handy for travelling. Also, the changes in colour to the packaging is very handy because it is easier to just pick up which ever one you want to use without having to root around for the right palette.
So let's jump into the individual palettes!
-------------------
I Heart Chocolate
So this is the milk chocolate palette and it was the first one they brought out. This is a dupe of the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. This palette is very much on the warm side and, like the Too Faced one, it smells of chocolate. I am in love with the smell of this (never thought I'd say that about eyeshadow).
The shade names (from left to right): You Need Love, Piece Me Together, One More Piece, Love Torn, Stolen Chocolate, Thank Friday, More!, Pleasure Girl, Meet Chocolate, Unforgivable, Love Divine, Smooth Criminal, Chocolate Love, You Need More, What A Way To Go & Endorphins Ready!.
So on the top row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), You Need Love, Piece Me Together, One More Piece, Love Torn & Stolen Chocolate. The first shade makes a beautiful under brow highlight because it is a matte shade. This row offers a mix of mattes and shimmers and it includes a great transitional colour for the crease. I'm in love with the purple/plum shade Love Torn, it's one of my favourites in the whole palette.
In the middle row, we have the shades (from left/bottom to right/top), Thank Friday, More!, Pleasure Girl, Meet Chocolate, Unforgivable & Love Divine. I think the matte pink shade would be beautiful as a highlight because it's definitely light enough to be one. The shade Unforgivable would be gorgeous as part of a smokey eye.
Now onto the last row. We have (from left/bottom to right/top), Smooth Criminal, Chocolate Love, You Need More, What A Way To Go & Endorphins Ready!. I think this is my favourite row out of all of them. The colours are so shimmery and gorgeous! Very gold and bronze toned and I just love those shades for my eyes.
-------------------
Death By Chocolate
So this is the same layout as the other and again, it's a lovely neutral tone palette but this one is much more on the cool side. It includes more taupe shades and shadows more on the grey/silver side. This also smells like chocolate and it's amazing! So let's get into the shades and the names...
On the top row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), White Light, Don't Let Go, Break Me Up, Consume Me & All Is Lost. Again, it has the large highlight shade at the start and this row is a mix of shimmers and mattes. There is also a lovely, cool toned, matte brown and a matte black which always come in handy.
On the middle row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), Lick Me, Fool's Gold, One More Bar, Devour Me, Tear The Wrapper & Love You To Death. I would say that the shade Fool's Gold is one of the few warm toned shades in here but it's a beautiful gold shimmer shade. Again, this row has a nice variety of matte shades and shimmer shades.
And on the bottom row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), Pray For Me, Dipped, Tease Me, Set Me Free & Bring Down Angels. These are much more on the cool side and I love the taupe shades in here because I tend to edge towards warmer tone shadows so these are perfect for trying out more cool tones. This row is also all shimmers.
-------------------
Naked Chocolate
-------------------
Pink Fizz
And on the last row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), Rosy, Cork, Pop, France & Pink Fizz. The shade Rosy is similar to the shade Cake in the salted caramel palette, the iridescent pink shade. I also love Pink Fizz is a gorgeous pink toned highlight shade which is unlike the others but this is the perfect palette for it.
---------------------------------------
Now onto the reviews of the shadows. All the shadows on these are super pigmented and lovely. They are very easy to blend and easy to work with and to work together to create beautiful eye looks. These are definitely my favourite palette's I own and the fact that they also smell of the names is just even better, The shadows are all gorgeous shades and very wearable and one palette can create beautiful looks.
I think if I had to chose a favourite, I would chose the Naked Chocolate and I have got so much use out of it. All of these palettes are absolutely gorgeous though. Each palette can create so many looks from neutral, easy looks to more smokey and more intense looks and they would be perfect for any occasion.
Overall, these are my favourite palettes in my whole collection and I can't stop reaching for them. They are consistently good and I know what to expect when using them and I know that the wear time and blendabilty of them which always makes me go back to them. They are inexpensive and for the quality, they are incredible!
Let me know what you think of these palettes! Have you tried them? Which is your favourite?
Hope you enjoyed, until next time, happy reading. Bye xx
Again, the layout is the same as in the other palettes. This one stands out more in my collection because of the colour of the outer casing. Again, this one smells of chocolate like the others but it is not as strong. This palette, I would say, is a mix of warm and cool tones and there are not as dark shades in this one compared to the others.
On the top row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), Smoothly, Divine, Mocha Love, Dipped & Choc-Fest. Again, the first shade is a matte highlighter which is lovely. Choc-Fest is, I think, my favourite shade in the palette. I think it is brilliant for darkening up the crease, for more of an intense transition colour. It is a plum toned brown and it's so beautiful. I love these shimmer shades on this top row.
On the middle row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), Adorable, Buttons, Frosted Choc, Delight, Sweet Shop & Suger. The majority of the shades on this row are shimmy shades and they would all work as an all over the lid shade.
On the last row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), Double Dip, Tob-le-rone, White, Milky & Way. The majority of the shades on this row are matte and would be great transition shades or just for a more natural crease colour. The highlight shade on the end is one of my favourites for brightening up the inner corner, it looks really pretty because of the gold tone.
-------------------
Salted Caramel
Next we have one of the newer editions to the range. This is the Salted Caramel palette and this is a dupe of the Too Faced Semi-Sweet chocolate bar palette. This smells more of caramel than chocolate but it's such a lovely scent. I love the rich, neutral colours in here.
On the first row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), Delicious, Tempt, Heavenly, Drizzle & Enjoy. This row is almost completely matte, the shade Enjoy on the end has a subtle hint of glitter in but it's barely anything. There is a matte black in here and it's a great staple.
On the middle row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), Choc, Cake, Perfect, Crunch, Sweet & Fudge. The blue shade in here is gorgeous and the only colour that is not a neutral but it's not too strong, I think this would look brilliant on the lower lash line to add a pop of colour. The shade Cake is an iridescent pink shade and it is so unique.
On the last row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), Salted, Candy, Caramel, Spoon & Yum!. Again, these are just lovely neutral shades which would look brilliant as part of any eye look and just for adding a bit of shimmer.
-------------------
Pink Fizz
So this is the last of the collection and is one of the newest ones along with the Salted Caramel. This one is full of shimmers with only a few mattes and this would be great for adding some sparkle to a look. This one smells more like champagne which I am not a fan of but I'm sure some people would love the smell of this.
On the first row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), Champers, Drink, Flute, Sparkling & Toast. I love the pink tones on this row and these would look gorgeous all over the lid for a rosy look.Their lovely and simmery so they would be great at adding glitter.
On the middle row, we have (from left/bottom to right/top), Bubbles, Girl, Party, Elegant, Celebrate & Truffle. Again, this row is full of shimmers and the shade Bubbles is a lovely, iridescent silver/white shade and this would look great as an intense inner corner highlight. The shade Girl is one of my favourite shades in the whole palette.
